Accounts Manager

Responsibilities

 

  • To take ownership and perform retention of designated key accounts while continually soliciting new business from these accounts to increase the market share.

  • To manage the account’s yield through continually seeking improvement in procedures and services to create more efficient and cost effective operations.

  • Achieve 100% coverage on customers’ logistics decisions within the organization.

  • To uncover customer requirements, qualify opportunities and propose right solution.

  • Making regular contacts and safeguard strategic relationships with the designated accounts.

  • Manage account’s performance and customer satisfaction through conducting regular performance/ service review with customers.

  • To maintain and update account’s DLSOP and tariff accurately and timely.

  • Comply with the preset account documentation processes and productivity standards.

  • To assist with collection on invoices that has past due credit terms.

  • International travel when necessary to branch offices, customer field offices, and support customers to resolve issues, review branch operating procedures, and maintain customer information and satisfaction.

  • To achieve budgeted revenue targets and account share objectives.

  •  Continually seek opportunities for service enhancement and improved tactical management.

  • Increase our share of customer business on an annual basis.

  • To take up additional tasks/ projects as required to meet the Company’s needs

 

Requirements

 

  • University graduate with minimum 3 years’ of relevant logistics/freight forwarding or account management experience.

  • Or diploma graduate with minimum 5 years’ relevant logistics/freight forwarding or account management experience Ability to define, develop and document business processes and procedures.

  • Good working knowledge in computer software applications including E-Mails, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated customer service skills, project management skills, problem-solving skills, and proven interpersonal skills.
